#academia V-GIRLS
http://thev-girls.tumblr.com/
"The V-Girls are Andrea Fraser, Jessica Peri Chalmers, Marianne Weems, Erin Cramer and Martha Baer. Between 1986 and 96 they presented three panel-performances at galleries, museums and universities both nationally and internationally: Academia in the Alps: In Search of the Swiss Mis(s) took on the children’s book Heidi as a pretext for talking about issues relating to women in academe, among other things; The Question of Manet’s Olympia: Posed and Skirted was our panel on art history and theory; and Daughters of the ReVolution approached questions of generational difference within feminism. There was, in addition, an earlier panel-presentation Sex in Your Holiday Season that was performed once.

The group was never a traditional theater group but a “reading-and-performance” group whose public presentations evolved out of private meetings and discussions. Formed in the early 1980s to read feminist psychoanalytic theory, the group ended in 96 with Daughters, which charted difficulties in women’s groups and groups in general, including their own. "
