Accident or Invention
"From a certain point of view it would be much better if nothing worked, if nothing functioned. Never being born, escaping the wheel of continual birth and rebirth, no mouth to suck with, no anus to shit through. Will the machines run so badly, their component pieces fall apart to such a point that they will return to nothingness and thus allow us to return to nothingness?" *

Things get dirtier in academia! 3 mins ordering final dissertation
https://www.theguardian.com/education/2017/mar/04/essays-for-sale-the-booming-online-industry-in-writing-academic-work-to-order
"It takes about three minutes to order a final dissertation for an English literature degree at the UK Essays website. I pick my country, subject and required grade. I go for a 2:1, choose a length – let’s say 5,000 words – a seven-day deadline, and watch the price calculator hit £687 (or £1,236 for a two-day turnaround). Click “next step” and I can enter my topic before being matched with a suitable writer, who will produce an essay “personalised to my requirements”. It would come with a series of promises. “The work we produce is guaranteed to meet the grade you order, or you get your money back.” It will also be “100% free from plagiarism” – and on time." ....

#academia V-GIRLS
http://thev-girls.tumblr.com/
"The V-Girls are Andrea Fraser, Jessica Peri Chalmers, Marianne Weems, Erin Cramer and Martha Baer. Between 1986 and 96 they presented three panel-performances at galleries, museums and universities both nationally and internationally: Academia in the Alps: In Search of the Swiss Mis(s) took on the children’s book Heidi as a pretext for talking about issues relating to women in academe, among other things; The Question of Manet’s Olympia: Posed and Skirted was our panel on art history and theory; and Daughters of the ReVolution approached questions of generational difference within feminism. There was, in addition, an earlier panel-presentation Sex in Your Holiday Season that was performed once.

The group was never a traditional theater group but a “reading-and-performance” group whose public presentations evolved out of private meetings and discussions. Formed in the early 1980s to read feminist psychoanalytic theory, the group ended in 96 with Daughters, which charted difficulties in women’s groups and groups in general, including their own. "
